What is Biophilic design?
Biophilic design in architecture is defined by design that supports both the sociological and psychological components of our humanity while unburdening the cognitive system.
An environment void of nature can have a negative effect on health, productivity, and well-being. Biophilic design has a positive impact on well-being by affecting three of our mind-body systems: physiological (eg. it reduces anxiety), psychological (eg. it reduces anger and fear) and cognitive functions (eg. it improves creativity and boosts mood).
